The Maryland State Department of Education developed this
assessment and instructional system which is designed to
provide teachers and early childhood providers with a common
understanding of what children know and are able to do upon
entering school. This course teaches how to observe children
in each of the learning domains to see how the child is
progressing toward being ready for school.
